上海教育出版社成立于1958年，是一家面向全国的教育专业出版社，出版品种包括各类教材、教学辅导读物、教学挂图、工具书、学术专著、教师读物、学生读物、幼儿读物、各类教学期刊、学具、以及声像读物和电子出版物。
　　上海教育出版社建社40年来，始终坚持传播有益于教育发展和社会进步的科学技术和文化知识，精心编辑出版了大批各类图书，年出书约1800种，先后有多种图书在国内外各种图书评奖活动中获奖，其中，《中国科学院院士自述》获“五个一工程”一本好书奖；《数学教育研究丛书》获国家图书奖提名奖，并连续两届被国家新闻出版署评为良好出版社。
　　此外，上海教育出版社还与港台以及国外的一些出版社开展版权贸易，合作的范围和品种逐渐扩大。值此21世纪来临之际，上海教育出版社愿与广大读者、作者及社会各界朋友共同进步，为社会主义两个文明建设和促进中外文化交流，作出新的贡献。

    Shanghai Educational Publishing House(SEPH), established in 1958, is a professional educational publishing house catering to the needs of the whole country. It publishes textbooks, auxiliary teaching books, hanging pictures for teaching, reference books, academic works, teachers' readings, students' readings, children's readings, various educational periodicals, teaching aids, electronic audio-video publications.
　　Since its establishment 40 years ago, SEPH holds to the principle of spreading science, teachnology and culture benificial to the development of education and society. It has edited and put out a large variety of books. It publishes some 1800 titles of books annually. Many of these books have won international, national, local or professional prizes. Autobiographic Notes of Members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, for example, won the One Book Prize of Five-one Project Award. Maths Education Research Series won the nomination prize of National Book Award. The press has achieved notable economic and social returns and was entitled consecutively "National Good Publishing House" by the State Press & Publication Administration for 2 times.
